Between 2006–2011, Anna Bernhardt studied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication in Russia and Norway and developed a long-lasting fascination for complex systems such as language and culture. The basis of her current design work is understanding design concepts as similarly complex systems in which all elements are interconnected and dependant on each other.

After moving to Berlin in 2011, she obtained her BA degree in Communications Design and has been working for direct clients as well as design agencies since 2014, specialising in identity design, editorial, and web design. She is currently pursuing her MA degree at weißensee kunsthochschule berlin.
